Front Street can fill a few hours, but the Wenatchee River and Icicle Canyon are essential to the setting. Choose one outdoor outing and return to the village for dinner or evening lights.
Walkable village core
Begin at Front Street Park for the Bavarian storefronts, gazebo, bakeries, and tasting rooms. The Nutcracker Museum adds a compact indoor stop, while Waterfront Park follows cottonwoods beside the Wenatchee River a few blocks away.
Cascade trail day
Icicle Ridge climbs directly above town; Icicle Gorge offers a gentler forest-and-river loop farther up Icicle Road. The Enchantments require serious preparation, and overnight trips in the permit zone use a seasonal lottery. Check current trail, fire, road, and permit notices before leaving town.
